Ed Andy at Clarence Snyder's Spiritual Retreat Florida 3-15-83 Very Dynamic and Spirited Talk by a Very Active Early AA Member A powerful talk by someone who did a great amount of 12th Step work in the early years of AA. He knew Bill Wilson, Dr Bob, Clarence Snyder and many of the earliest AA members. He traveled extensively. He also knew Dr Bob prior to either of them getting sober. He drank with Dr Bob on Sunday mornings at the bar of an Akron bootlegger. They discussed a solution for their drinking problem. Dr Bob said as a doctor he didn't know of one. An amazing talk about the often miraculous happenings in the early days of Alcoholics Anonymous.

A Two Cd recording of the first priest in AA covering each of the 12 Steps in order. Father Pfau knew Bill Wilson personally and probably got much of his understanding of the steps directly from Bill. He also achieved decades of continuous and happy sobriety despite having some industrial strength mental problems. He must have had a solid program to do that.

How he drank and some incidents. Talks about using the excuse he was an orphan to justify drinking. Jokes that it was good till he was in his forties. __Tells the story of his recovery experience, and relates some aspects of his first years in sobriety. __Tells how he started traveling the world visiting AA groups. __Talks about various countries he visited often relating how AA was started in the country under discussion. __This recording is a really good piece of AA history. I acquired the tape the CD was made from through an Ebay seller from an estate the estate of an Ohio AA as a reel to reel tape which was probably duplicated by the person who originally recorded the event. __Better than average sound quality due to it's being remastered from a tape so close to source.
