at New Life Lodge ~ Burns Tennessee January 5, 1990 ~ A real good AA Talk. This guy is a Real Alcoholic.~ He tells a vivid drunkalogue. A newspaper writer drunk who hit a really low bottom. How he recovered and his life and friendships in AA.~ He talks about recovery. How in his drinking days he was always trying to get even. In recovery his sponsor told him to get even but not with those who wronged him but with his family and those he loved. To get even with them that loved him when he had hated even his own self.~ Towards the end of the talk he discusses his friendship with Lois Wilson. He mentioned that Bills Life story would make a great movie script. Lois said other had wanted to do it but she turned them down. She would help him write the script.~ I have heard both positive and negative reactions to the movie but according to him it was done with Lois' blessing and she enjoyed it.~ Overall a good AA talk with the inside scoop on the story behind the MY NAME IS BILL W movie.
