Cd 2 and 3 The Traditions Meeting
Six Speakers from various parts of the country each talk about 2 of the Traditions.
There are some regional anecdotes. The speaker from Cleveland recounts the adventures of the first Cleveland Central office.
Bill Wilson talks in a general way about the 12 Traditions as a whole. He talks about some of the incidents that gave rise to the needed tradition. How various Traditions are applied to situations.
At one point he says "Today is the day, we think, that marks our emergance from adolescence into adulthood and so it is with great pleasure that I can make to you the announcement. The board of trustees have authorized the formation of a yearly conference composed of regional members of AA who can assume a part of the reponsibility for your services, your votes, your money, your public relations."
At the end of Bill talk he asks anyone opposed to them to speak up if they want to. Nobody takes him up on that.
"Then I suppose by general affirmation rather than any official act. We who are here in this hour of destiny may now be willing to rise and confirnm the Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous" After he says this there is a vibrant standing ovation.
The Talks on these Cds are among the most historically significant AA recordings available.
Sound Quality is good.
